Your reporter Adam Postans commented on this subject saying that South Glos Council have failed to control this road problem.
I have been trying to get some action for footpaths, particularly Sherbourne’s Brake alongside the Stoke stream. But the council has found the money to cut down many trees that are not any danger as they are away from footpaths.
This work must have cost several thousand pounds, totally unnecessary expenditure, whereas they could have made the adjacent footpath accessible, which at present time is deep in mud, totally unusable.
I even attended the regular Council Meeting in November and made a statement, not only did I not get any reply but still nothing has been done.
Council policy is for walking and cycling to reduce car traffic, but if the footpaths are inaccessible people will use their car.
