Lee Gilpin and Michael Tarling from Stoke Gifford are among those who have been sentenced for their roles in the violent protests that took place in Bristol during the summer.
The two men both pleaded guilty to violent disorder and have each been jailed for two years following the hearing at Bristol Crown Court.
Gilpin and Tarling were both part of groups that acted in a violent or threatening manner, causing others to fear for their safety in the disorder on 3 August. In addition, Gilpin threw a concrete parasol stand at the windshield of a police car, and verbally assaulted people outside a hotel.
Tarling threw an object at police officers before kicking and punching another man in the crowd and throwing an object into a group of people.
