West Country Water Park has issued an apology to any customers who were incorrectly sent Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) and debt collection letters as part of a scam.
An independent company called Smart Parking manages the parking at West Country Water Park in Bradley Stoke and some customers were incorrectly sent PCNs and letters as if from the company.
A spokesperson for West Country Water Park has reassured customers that these PCNs will be cancelled and the fines will not be pursued.
A spokesperson said: “We deeply regret the impact this has had … and I want to thank you for your understanding and patience as we work through this. Your satisfaction is our priority; we are doing everything we can to ensure this issue is resolved promptly and fairly.”
Peter Coakley, operations director of Smart Parking, said: “All PCNs that are sitting DRP have been cancelled.
“Please be aware that there may be a small amount of correspondence that is in the system. This means you can rest easy.”
