e-scooters need to be dealt with

Perhaps now we have a new mayor the subject of e-scooters will be dealt with properly.

I have on many occasions requested that the use of e-scooters be investigated by WECA, dangerous use, ie two on one, riding on pavements, no helmets, probably no provisional licence. I understand these items are contained in the correct law of e-scooter hire.

There should be a published guide to use of e-scooters and the public given the opportunity to report incidents to the police, and the police need to monitor and ensure the riders abide by the conditions of hire. It is necessary to publish the conditions of hire to provide the public with the details to ensure the correct use of e-scooters.
