A beautiful day for the Bradley Stoke 10k

This year’s Bradley Stoke 10k race was extra special because it marked the 20th anniversary of the popular run, and to mark the occasion the sun came out and helped to keep everyone’s spirits up.

With the route taking in much of the beautiful Three Brooks Nature Reserve as well as some of the local streets, the residents of Bradley Stoke were out in force to cheer on the 544 runners who took part in the race, which is organised by local running group Sole Sisters.

The race started and finished at the Jubilee Centre, and Bradley Stoke Mayor Natalie Field was the run’s official starter when she set everyone off at 9.30am.

This year, the race was won by Jamie Williamson in 31 minutes 58 seconds, almost four minutes ahead of the second place finisher David Milner. The first female finisher was Debbie Hale, in 45 minutes and nine seconds, and she was followed by Terri May who came in 30 seconds later.
