A 14-year-old boy has died after a collision in Stoke Gifford.
Leyton Coombs died following the collision on Great Stoke Way involving a car and his bicycle on Tuesday 18 March.
Emergency services were called to the incident at 7.40pm and paramedics took him to hospital in a serious condition.
Tragically, despite the efforts of medics, he died in hospital on Sunday 23 March.
Avon & Somerset Police have issued a statement saying their thoughts are with Leyton’s family at this devastating time. The family are being supported by a specially trained officer and will be kept updated as the investigation progresses.

17-year-old is arrested after failure-to-stop bike incident
An arrest has been made following a fail-to-stop collision in which a teenage girl sustained serious injuries in Bradley Stoke.
Emergency services were called shortly after 4.45pm on Thursday 20 March to Bradley Stoke Way, near Willowbrook Shopping Centre, due to a collision involving a pedestrian and a motorbike, after which the rider left the scene.
The girl sustained significant non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, where she remains.
A 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop after a road accident on 26 March. He has been questioned by police and released on bail while further enquiries are being carried out.

Funding confirmed for education hub
South Glos Council has approved open space developer funding for a new education hub that will be located for the community in Patchway.
Patchway Town Council will receive £876.99 capital revenue towards the construction of an education hub at Pretoria Road Allotments.
South Gloucestershire Council’s Cabinet Member for Communities and Local Place Councillor Sean Rhodes commented on the funding and said: “We are thrilled to announce the approval of Section 106 funding for these community open space projects.
“These investments will help enhance our outdoor sports and play facilities, providing more opportunities for residents to engage in physical activity and improve their well-being.
“The creation of an education hub at Pretoria Road Allotments in Patchway will provide a valuable space for learning and social interaction, fostering community spirit.”
